Y’all are going to spend so much time and energy planning your big day… and it will turn out uniquely -you-. My goal is to make sure that every little detail, every part of the ceremony, every emotion from that day is frozen and recorded into visual history. When wedding day arrives, relax and drink it in, because Three Magpies will be there to capture it all.
There’s nothing like looking back through photos years later and all of your memories are sparked. First beach trip, first high school dance, first college football game, first time you spent the Holidays with each other’s family… Make sure you have someone you trust for your first day as husband and wife. You still have a lot of “first times” left in your life, but the good news is you’ve found Three Magpies to share them with and I’d love to photograph all of them!
Take a look at events I cover.
You’ve secretly plotted this day for years (or maybe your fiancé would say not so secretly….) It’s time. Check the calendar, call the potential venues, set the bridal boutique appointment, and call Three Magpies. There’s so much to think about when it comes to your big day but photography will be one less thing you worry about when working with me.
I promise to be a friend, a schedule keeper, a bottle water bringer, a “crazy aunt” blocker, and make sure that you look amazing in photos that will last forever.
More recently I’ve been asked to shoot rehearsal dinners, and I’ve realized “Why not?!” It’s just a big family meal, telling stories from your past, and taking bets on who will tear up first. Rehearsal dinners are the easiest places to grab those candid photos that are full of emotion. A toast to family and the future Mr. & Mrs.!
This is the play day! Carefree, relaxed, playful, goofy, intimate, comfortable. I want you and your fiancé to feel all these things during your engagement session. This is a great time for us to figure out personalities and become more confident in front of a camera. I’ll even show y’all a few model tricks from back in my day to work your angles and that light!
I enjoy being with friends and family for no particular reason or for a big reason like an anniversary. Let me handle the pictures while you handle soaking up time with loved ones.
Whether it’s baby No.1 or baby No.7, each child is a big change and amazement to the parents. I think little humans are so cute and fun because the world is so new to them (and can I mention they make awesome expressions). I love to shoot all things baby: pregnancy announcement, gender reveal, maternity, labor & delivery, newborn, nursery, growing up… Just call me Aunt Morgan.
Who doesn’t LOVE looking back at family photos? The hair styles, the outfits, the posing. While I think we’ve continued to improve since the 80s, my family photos are irreplaceable. These would be in my “what would you save from your burning house” answer. Not joking. Back in the day these beauties weren’t saved in the Cloud or backed up on Facebook. Make sure your kids and (future) grandkids feel the same about saving your family photos. Keep creating for THEM! It’s their history.
